As you may have seen, I make a lot of cookies. I'm always looking for new cookie recipes. Some are right under my nose. Jeff insisted on buying a pack of M&M's baking bits when we went shopping last. This was the recipe on the package. They were soft but crisp. No wonder Mars went with this recipe! The cookies turned out much lighter then the picture shows, however, still tasted great. I bet a giant one of these would be great too..
M&M's Cookies
1 cup of butter/margarine
1/2 of sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1 pack of M&M's baking bits
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream together butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Blend thoroughly. Stir in M&M's baking bits. Drop by tablespoon about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until edges are brown. Transfer to cooling rack. Store in air tight container for freshness.
